Easter fun at the Eagle’s Healing Nest and golfing for a good cause

Is it too early to talk about golf? If so, we’ll start off by mentioning the Eagle’s Healing Nest of Sauk Centre and the organization’s upcoming Easter Egg Hunt.

The Eagle’s Healing Nest will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at its beautiful facility at 310 US-71 N, Sauk Centre. More details are to be announced, but expect plenty of fun, food and prizes for the public and a great time for the youngsters.

The Eagle’s Healing Nest is a renowned residence for traumatized veterans, often dealing with addiction, PTSD, homelessness and other afflictions. It operates closely with one of our other beloved organizations in Homeless & Wounded Warriors – MN. As we mention in every issue, we are on a mission to raise more than $10,000 annually for this worthy cause—and that’s just through your real estate referrals that we turn into donations!

With the help of many other businesses and area residents, however, we always achieve much more. That’s why it’s not too early to talk about golf.

The former Memorial Day event will enter its second year as a tournament that is now held on the first weekend of June. The change potentially allows for more participation and avoids interfering with other important Memorial Day events.

With so much advance notice, there’s no excuse to be unprepared to attack the course. Though we can’t speak for the inherent challenges that golf will inevitably present on that day, we know that a chance to win a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, or a shot at a fishing trip with professional bass fisherman Hunter Wendt, will keep the excitement level at a premium. Add the extravagant displays of patriotic golf attire, local veterans, and veteran-led organizations, and it will indeed be a day to cherish.

To register for this meaningful event, please call the Whitefish Golf Club pro shop at 218-543-4900. Go Serve Big!
