The savvy garage-saler knows that the best pickings are found on Thursdays. That’s the day the Eagle’s Healing Nest is holding its sale, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 310 US-71 in Sauk Centre.
Discover what treasures may be available, and know that your purchases will support a worthy organization and our fellow veterans. The Eagle’s Healing Nest is a home for traumatized veterans, often dealing with addiction, PTSD, homelessness and other afflictions. It operates closely with one of our other beloved organizations, Homeless & Wounded Warriors – MN, which is a good reason to be on the lookout for golf balls in your garage-sale adventures this month.
Start loosening up for the most patriotic golf event of the year. The Stars & Stripes Scramble returns this June 7 at Whitefish Golf Club of Pequot Lakes. It’s the longtime, annual event that supports Homeless & Wounded Warriors – MN.
What’s at stake? How about a $10,000 chance at a hole-in-one, or a guided fishing experience with professional bass fisherman Hunter Wendt? Those are great perks, but the real incentive is to support local veterans in need, which every participant will do simply by registering. Tickets are $150 per golfer and include a meal, with all proceeds going to HWW–MN.
