A month of honor and respect
November is a special month for our team and our worthy causes, marked by the pride, reflection and togetherness of both Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Of course, we are thankful for all veterans and first responders, as is mentioned in every issue of this Homeward Bound newsletter. You may have seen that we’re on a mission to raise $10,000 for Homeless & Wounded Warriors — MN through real estate commissions alone. That’s why we’re also so thankful for your home buyer and seller referrals, which generate support for veterans in our communities; and we get to see that firsthand. Please remember to thank a veteran this Veterans Day, give thanks this Thanksgiving, and Go Serve Big!
Gun raffle raises thousands for veterans
The Homeless & Wounded Warriors — MN annual firearms raffle was another success this year, with the last of the prize tickets sold just before the Oct. 26 drawing at the Bridge Tavern of Crosby. Patrons packed the Bridge Tavern with excitement and anticipation of winning 1 of 10 custom-made rifles by Tactical Galaxy of Brainerd. The raffle, which sold all 1,500 tickets, raised $30,000 for HWW—MN. This is one of several raffles held for the organization each year. Watch for announcements about more upcoming raffles to support our local veterans.
